State Government and Central Government have different schemes to to promote Entrepreneurs in various sectors. PMEGP is most popular scheme. The implementing agencies are District Industries Centre, KVIC,and KVIB . The maximum of project cost admitted is Rs. 25,00,000/- Subsidy Rate rages between 15 % to 35 % considering various categories. No upper age limit.(conditions apply)
Another scheme offered by KVIB is Ente gramam. The maximum project cost admitted is Rs.5 lakhs, (conditions apply)
Entrepreneur Support Scheme introduced by the Department of Industries and commerce is another attractive scheme. Subsidy upto 30 % is offered under this scheme.(kannur district) .In backward district subsidy is allowed upto 40% i.e waynad, Kasargod and Pathanamthitta district. Subsidy is calculated over the fixed capital portion of the project. Certain criteria and conditions are applicable here. Assistance under this scheme is available only for the manufacturing units, and not for trading and services sector.( conditions apply)
For PMEGP scheme one can apply online after preparing Projected Report as required by the concerned offices.
